World’s Aids Day-2015

World AIDS Day,1^st December 2015

HELPINDIA represented by  Eva Rodrigues and Sunita Shetty  were invited to make a presentation to the students of Zantye College of Commerce, Bicholim, Goa on 1^st December 2015, World AIDS Day.

The objective was to:

• Highlight the plight of the most stigmatized, marginalized and neglected section of our communities
• To prompt the society to take a lead in stopping the spread of AIDS by conducting awareness programs and take the necessary initiatives in protecting the rights and dignity of the affected, especially the children
• To promote principles of equality and value of human life

An educational video film on HIV/AIDS made by HELP INDIA, was screened. This was followed by discussions on the consequences of inaction, stigma attached to the disease.
